you need to define what you mean by 'best.'

And never judge a laptop by it's brand, every laptop brand is unique and has its pros and cons.

based on my tastes and preferences, the apple macbook pro is the best. Followed by the VAIO Z and VAIO CW.

This is long debated - I say it should be based on model, not brand. Every brand has their fowl-ups.

I, however, think the best brand is any Clevo-branded notebook. They make powerhouse machines that don't fall apart.
