The MSI CX61-ONF i7367 , will give you better performance , the Cpu is much more powerful
It has more cores and will use smart overclocking features to automatically boost itself from 2.4 ghz to 3.4ghz when required . it also has more Ram which will provide a better multitasking environment ( avoid paging) and generally speed up your machine.

The MSI GE60 ONC-I3145+ has a slightly better graphics chip but the rest of the specifications are inferior .

It comes down to what you use your laptop for , if its for games , lots of Video editing multimedia work and the like i would chose the MSI CX61-ONF i7367 its a decent specified machine and will last quite a long time

If you are concerned about budget the MSI GE60 ONC-I3145+ is a quite capable machine ideal for general use anything from office tasks, photo editing web use , it is even capable some light gaming but it wont be a performance powerhouse like the first one

what if for php 37,000 ($925, just $25 above the cx61) i can choose a better ge60 variant with an i5-3210m and 8gb ram, would the cx61 still be better?

Hrmm , well again this would come down to your use , if its for gaming i would be tempted by the I5 option according to what resources i can find gt650 beats a gt645 by around 13-15% in most game scenarios

However The difference in cpu is pretty big here , the I7 is a much better chip to give the raw figures ( thanks to notebookcheck.net)

So for processor intensive tasks the i7 seriously beats the i5 in almost every point however I've read up on the two laptops and both come with quite slow hard drives as standard ( i would recommend replacing them with an aftermarket solid state hard drive as soon as the warranty expires

So for gaming the GE60 will probably be slightly better but for non gaming tasks the i7 the CX61 should murder the GE60 while still doing pretty well in games.

One final note the reviews ive read on the cx61 say its not the prettiest or lightest of machines it makes up for its poor looks in power rather than in beauty.
