Hi,

I'm thinking of buying one of these laptops.

The Msi one is cheaper and has an older 5th generation processor and a steel series keyboard which would be good for gaming.

The pc specialist laptop has more ssd storage, an ips screen and 6gb of graphics card ram. But it doesn't have an optical drive.

I like the msi laptop but am wondering if i should be buying the newer laptop with an ips screen.

Please let me know which one you would buy.

Thanks

I doubt gen 5 and 6 would make so much difference, although i7-gen 6 is the mainstream indeed, in Ad. If just between the two, I'd choose MSI GE62 if I were you, because somehow I do trust the service and quality behind the big brands. If you're comparing among MSI, Alienware, even ROG, well...that might be another story. Anyhow, see if you can also get a good deal on the SSD upgrade.

It depends on what kind of gaming you are playing .... I have MSI GE62 as well, the reasons I like are same as you!
And i think if is possible why not add more $200 to get the MSI gaming laptop with SSD?
