Both seem to have the same specs, and I do not know if MSI would be, for any reason, simply better for gaming. As far as what games I play, it varies. On my computer, I played Minecraft, Insurgency, Arma 3 (my pc could not run it but I want to try it on a laptop) fallout 4, and gta V, to list a few. I used money on some pc things, but my pc stopped working and I could not get it to work, so I am just going to buy a laptop with the money I have left. I will need a laptop since I am a student, but don't have enough money for a desktop and laptop, so will only get the laptop. Which of these is better (runs games better, lasts longer, reliability, etc.) Or if anyone knows any good deals to direct me to i'd be grateful. Right now I have $820 exactly, but am waiting on refunds from amazon, though I have just sent them out so I will likely only get refunded after cyber monday passes. In about a 10 days i'd assume, I will have $1,100 so should i wait for that to buy a pc, in which case black friday sales will likely be over or is there any good deals i could get with $820. I am looking for similar specs to these: mainly the gtx 960, 6th gen i7, 1 tb hdd, 1920x1080p

All right, thanks for the input. Still looking for laptop sales though. Posted a new question asking if a i7-5700/gtx 970 is better than a i7-6700/gtx 960. Thanks again, but I am just trying to get the best laptop I can get around black friday sales, and it will be useful to know this if i find any other dell or msi deals (b/c dell is great as far as pricing and msi is common it seems)

Yes, for gaming an i7-5700/gtx 970 is better than an i7-6700/gtx 960.

Alright, thanks. I figured since the benchmarks for the 970 far surpas the 960 while the 6700did not seem to be much of an upgrade. Just wanted to be sure.
