So I am torn between an Alienware 13 , Alienware Alpha, and the Sager 13 inch notebook. All have the same GPU but there are a bunch of catches. The Sager is $1016 but doesn't include the OS(xoticpc), now on the other hand the Alienware 13 is $999 but the res is 1366x768 rather than 1080p and it is an i5 rather than a i7. But with the new attachment that allows you to hook up external GPU (I know sounds gimmicky) is a pretty viable option. But the alpha(yes I know it is not a laptop but its close to what I want) is $549 and has an Xbox 360 wireless controller and receiver (and I have 2 xbox 360 controllers) and i want to play certain thingp with friends/ cousins for the nostalgia(hint hint, wink wink). But it has an i3 and 4gb of ram. So what is the most with it. Also I am going for portability. So no other suggestions unless they are this size. I will use whichever for gaming as well.

Sager, it has great specs for gaming and I have heard it has excellent cooling with its fans.

I am not Alienware fan (see the pun), but you wouldn't need to plug another graphics card. My friend has that sort of thing but he doens't use it. His custom built laptop has a GTX 675MX and a external graphics card which is the Quadro.

But the i3 will be the best option for the cheapest price. If you are only playing emulators and not high end gaming, then the i3 will be a suitable choice.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Don't forget the Alienware has terrible resolution- 1366x768.

Sager 13 inches, i7 4700mq something like that. 1080p screenscreen, 860m 1tb hard drive, no os 8gb ram. Alienware 13 1366x768 i5 4500mq 500gb HDD Windows 8.1 can use the GPU thing, to boost power later. 860m 8gb ram. Alpha i3 4130t 4gb ram 860m basically. Not a laptop, comes with Xbox 360 controller and wireless receiver, 500gb hdd has custom os.Windows 8.1
