Which Laptop to Buy?

Which one is better, and if you don't think either one is good, give me your suggestion (>$1000)

I love them both, but I think the Nitro runs warm. I'd go for the MSI. The only thing that makes me scratch my head is the 12GB of RAM in the MSI. If it was 8GB or 16GB, it would run in dual-channel mode. But not with 12GB, I don't think.

From what I've heard the MSI laptop overheats a lot, But in reality I'm getting these to play things like mobas at max with 100+ fps, but from what I see i think the +2gb vram and ips display outweighs the fact that the msi has a faster hdd (7200 vs 5400), but I'll see what others say and make my decision later.

That could be. My MSI runs warm, so I wouldn't be surprised. I've personally never been impressed with Acer's build quality. But the Nitro series has gotten pretty good reviews.

The MSI has a 2 year warranty, which is nice.

Acer has improved their build quality the past few years. I have read on Nitros and they have received excellent reviews.

I would go with the acer as you can upgrade the ram yourself to 16 to get dual channel which should help with the fps.
