Which new speakers to get?

I was wondering which pair of speakers to get. They will be used for gaming. I would like 2.1 because it fits on my desk better (the first choice Logitech Z-4) or would 5.1 be a lot better because of being surround sound (the other choice Logitech X540). Any other good speakers in this price range would also be appreciated. 😀

I have now decided on on 2.1 but which set should I get the Z-2300 or the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1?

If you can find Logitech Z5300-e (for the price of x540) is way beter. It can be set as 2.1 or 5.1
