According to the majority of those configurations you provided, unfortunately, they would be performing at a mediocre level. If I were you, maybe wait a few more months and save your money for a better configuration. Like a few other suggested, a 960M or similar would be more suitable and appropriate for your needs. I found this model on Newegg for $919 Canadian Dollars and something like this would be along the lines. Hope that helps!

There is a big difference in the video cards, it's like picking any BMW 3 series, the M3 is tons faster than the 318.

None of the ones you listed are any good for games past some old ones or newer ones at low settings at 720 resolution.

As above, the 960M is the lower end gaming video card now.

I didn't understand? Why will a few months make any difference?

What about the 940MX? Is that any good? I don't want the alptop for heavy gaming but just a good balance of work and casual gaming esp the newer MMOG titles like Heroes and Generals, World of tanks etc? I saw an Acer E series 571 today and a Lenovo Ideapad 510 with a i5 4201U and i7 7200U resptly. Both are FHD and the former costed $553 and the latter 811? What would you suggest?

Thank you.

On paper, the Lenovo Ideapad 310 is the no-brainer of the lot and should play your games without problems - the 4GBs of RAM available in the Acers is a bit on the low end, and depending on which Assassin's Creed release you have in mind, you may need a Core i5 CPU. Heroes & Generals also requires an i5.

As for the Lenovo Ideapad 310 with the AMD A10 APU, I recommend you do a search on this Forum and on the Internet. Lately, there have been numerous issues lodged by users with this particular setup - anything from sluggish performance to complete freezes. I've been involved in a lengthy thread myself with a poster who experienced all manner of problems with her brand-new Ideapad 310/AMD APU to the point where she decided to return it in frustration.

It could be a question of one bad shipment (let's hope so), but do a search and decide for yourself.
