Which of these two laptops are more worth the price?

www.xoticpc.com get a sager 7338 or any other that starts at $988, then add the OS, it'll be better than both your options.

well the 17.3 msi is clearly the winner when it comes on gaming. 860 may have a lower shader count but due to better thermal design it allows way better clocks thus better performance although it has an i5
also 17.3'' is a better panel to work-game on unless there is a mobility issue!

if the laptop was only used for just light gaming, would you still recommend spending a 100$ more for the 860? My budget is 1100$ tight, so saving any money counts.
