Hi! im going to get a new phone this week, which is going to replace my old and boring samsung blackjack 2.

Currently where I live I have 3 options:

Iphone 4 16gb

Samsung Galaxy S

Nokia N8

What i want these for:

Im an architecture student and also an sculptor, i like to take photos of beautiful and interesting things when i see them but im also an "on the go" kind of person, so i dont want to be carrying a point and shoot camera, so the n8 has an advantage in that department. The iPhone 4 camera takes over saturated and "fake" pictures but im sure there are camera apps which correct this. I dont know about the galaxy S camera.

I also read A LOT, i want to know which one of these will be better for ebooks (or pdf's or whatever format) i just want a screen that wont strain my eyes too much. I dont have the money to buy a separate Kindle or other device like that, so it has to be the best experience i can get on a phone.

It has to deliver superb multimedia experience, i want to listen to high quality music.

APPS, APPS, APPS. I want to do as much as possible with my phone. Autocad WS on the iphone is a huge plus.

Battery life, it has to be good, i dont trust on getting home to recharge my cellphone every day

I know it would be better to wait till the 2011 phones are availible where i live but that is going to take several months here (in Chile)

both the galaxy S and the iphone are costing the same, the nokia n8 costs a 1/3 less.

I would like to have the n8 because of the camera and all the conectivity advantages, i also heard it has a good battery life. BUT the OS sucks, there aren't many apps for it and it seems like the ovi store is a complete mess.

I also want to be able to connect to my 1TB hard drive trough wifi and listen to all the music and watch all the movies i have there. Some of my music is in FLAC and ogg format.

I've been using a PC since im 7, i've used multiple linux distros over my life so adapting to any of their OS shouldnt be a problem.

Please help me, im really confused about which of them to get, the n8 has the advantage on the camera and conectivity but sucks in everything else. And i dont know if the n8 camera has an OMFG advantage over the iPhone 4 camera either... the iPhone 4 is also thinner which is good since i dont want to be carrying a brick on my pocket.

Also, i dont want it to be fragile, i've heard the iphone 4 is rock solid.

So, what you guys think i should get?

iPhone 4 will give you the best
1)battery life
2)OS(in terms of being responsive/stable)
3)Screen.Currently no phone matches the iPhone 4 display in terms of reading
books,PDFs and webpages.(Because having a very high resolution and intense amount of pixels per inch)
Galaxy S will give you the best OS in terms of customizing;however,it's body is made of plastic and it doesn't have a great battery life.
N8 will give you the best camera(Both iPhone 4 and Galaxy S have better video recording capabilities though),but it runs on an outdated OS(compared to Android and iOS)

Judging from your needs,my vote goes for iPhone 4.

Thanks... im currently going for it atm, unless someone comes with news from the new OS for n8 (meego or symbian4?) because that camera is way too hot to miss.

N8 won't use Meego(And I don't think we'll see Symbian 4 anytime soon,it may not even be released)
As for antenna,it all depends on your network coverage. If you live in a place with good network coverage, then don't worry;however,in places with extremely low coverage(when the phone reports 2 or less bars),then if you hold the down left corner of the phone, you'll probably drop a call.
Get a bumper since they're free from Apple and test,if you had problems with the antenna use the bumper;otherwise, don't.
And no,it's not a software issue so OS updates won't change anything.
