Which should I buy Macbook Pro or Macbook Air ? For Masters in Computer Science

Going to study MS Computing in NUS Singapore. MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, which one should I buy? MS in Computing in Singapore is the equivalent of MS in Computer Science in US . So I guess main use would be multiple IDE , frameworks for coding . Other uses would be media like movies, video streaming , music .

Hmmm that's true but I want laptops with higher battery life . Mac has 8 hrs avg battery life whereas windows has only 3-4hrs .
The windows laps with higher battery life like Dell xps cost same as mac .
