I dont know which of these two I want to buy. Same price, many differences, but the only thing that interests me is the camera.

There are a few different Samsung Galaxy S7 versions, so it will depend on which one you mean to see the differences. However, that said, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite does list much higher MP than the Samsung.

To get a better idea I would look up the specs for both devices (Just make sure you include the right S7 version) and also search online for images taken with both devices. Then you can get a better idea of the images they create.

Here is the specs comparison for the Huawei Mate 20 light and the Samsung Galaxy S7... https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9284&idPhone2=7821

Now if you are looking at a different S7, just change that device.

I looked up that the S7 and the S7 Edge version both have the same amount of MP so its the same camera at the end of the day right? And I heard that it doesnt even really matter how much MP a camera has when it comes to the quality so which one really has the better camera?

How much MP it has does matter. Lower MP can lead to grainier images. Now once you get over a certain MP it is less obvious for average images. However if you plan on using them for say large screens, large photos, poster size, etc., then you will want the higher ones.

The drawback, however, is the file size is a lot larger.

That said, I am not a Huawei fan at all. And Samsung tends to have really good products. So while the camera MP my be higher on the Huawei, that doesn't mean it is a better camera. Without testing it out yourself, or checking out images and video taken from both online, there is no way to say for certain.

Also, the Samsung specs for video are much better.

I already looked those things up but I want to know how the experts are interpreting this information because to a amateur like me all these numbers mean nothing if you dont have deeper knowledge on technology.

Jossylena... please don't type in caps. :)

defaruk... I spoke with a friend who is very into picture taking (not a professional as all the professional photographers that I know refuse to use phones for photography, they use actual cameras) stated that the information you have been given is all anyone can give unless you are speaking with someone who has actually used said device(s), and even then they can only give you an opinion as the person taking the pictures is a factor.

This is why I suggested looking up images and video taken with said phones online. Other than this, the only way to know is to use it yourself.

That makes no sense. Your reply has nothing at all to do with what they are wanting to know. Even the original reply was only partially making sense.

They want to know specific information. Said information can only be obtained certain ways.

No one said anything about a device not in any race, nor was any such thing mentioned. Additionally, there is no mention or reference to profit. I think you are not stating what you are referring to correctly either that or you are misreading what we both have said.

In the end, again, they can only get the info they want in the ways already mentioned. The rest is up to them.
