white screen on the bottom of laptop

I have started to take me battery out and leave the charger in and it starts to flicker. Now covering most of my screen is just white on the bottom. I have compaq 6910p pls help.

First reseat the connections. If that does not work, try a new inverter, they are cheap. If that does not work, try a new LCD screen.
