on my most recent post, somebody said to me that it was IMPOSSIBLE to upgrade these 2 things on my ASUS-N55S laptop.
my question is; why not?

Solution
hey Derp,
the laptop motherboards are made specifically for the laptop. So 1 motherboard will not fit inside some other laptop.
About the GPU, Its not like the desktop cards that you can attach detach easily. They are soldered on the motherboard. Using some really hard techniques and devices.
So here you go.

What karan28 said...Laptops have, in effect, custom motherboards - including graphics. A different motherboard would not physically fit into the laptop case, and the graphics chips are usually soldered onto the motherboard, and as such are not replaceable by the user. It is usually cheaper, faster, and easier to just get a new laptop with the features you want.
