wifi button broke

My wifi button sometimes work and sometimes don't. The light works. I have a compac windows 7 computer. Is there a way to turn it on without pressing the button?

If it's in the off state and is a physical switch, maybe not. Check the WiFi utility, you may need to download the one from Compaq rather than use the basic Windows one.
