It 'may' be. Straight Talk uses other carrier's/service provider's networks. So it will depend on what one they use in your area. Networks are CDMA or GSM and they are not interchangeable nor are they changeable (can't make a GSM device CDMA and vice versa).

You are going to have to check with your carrier/service provider to find you what one they are using in that area.
