Will Capture card work on laptop

My son would like to use a capture card with his laptop and Nintendo switch.

He is using a HP pavilion gaming laptop 15-ab229na which shows specs as Intel Core i3-5020U with Intel HD graphics 5500 (2.2Ghz, 3mb cache, 2 cores)

Are there are capture cards which would work with this laptop.

Hi sorry ignore previous query - I was looking at daughters uni laptop details and not sons gaming one which is Intel Core i7.
