Hi, i'm a bit dumb about all this techy stuff, so i have a question. I am buying a laptop, and was wondering...
How exactly do i tell if a laptop will run on 64 or 32 Windows 7? Do i see it in the processor?
When i looked it up, i saw that it says:
Instruction Set 64-bit

Is that it?
The laptop is here if it's of any difference.

Cheers.

All modern processors are 64 bit. From the english translation of that page, it seems the it doesn't come with a operating system, meaning you'll have to install Windows 7 by yourself? If that is the case, then you can find a copy of 64 bit Windows 7 and install it on there yourself, as the hardware will be fine running it.

For the average person, the best feature about Windows 7 64-bit is that the operating can recognize more than 3.25GB - 3.5GB of RAM; that's the limit of 32-bit Windows of any version.

In spite of what that website says I'd recommend you hold off buying a copy of Windows till your laptop arrives.

I think that MSI GT680-024XPL should come from the factory with Win7 64bit installed, along with the 8GB of RAM already included.

The only reason I think the model nbr 024XPL has the PL is that it's the Polish Win7 version installed.
