You may need to let it run out of power. First let it lose all power. Then plug it in to charge and leave it turned off. Only let it charge for a short while, short enough to allow for starting up to test again to see if it loads. You only want a smaller charge as if you get stuck again, it will run out of power quickly.
If it starts up, great, you are good. If it doesn't, then let it run out again and again charge it a small amount. This time, however, you will try starting it in "Safe Mode" (instructions below) and see if it starts.
