Will plugging in one less socket game my laptop?

I've bought a new laptop(GT83VR 6RF) and it comes with two power socket, but the place I usually go only have one, I'm thinking will only using one socket as power supply harm my laptop? What function will be disabled?

At first I thought it would drop to low power mode, but seeing as it uses a Y adapter and one socket, it may expect full power or not work at all (vs 2 jacks with only one occupied). Unfortunately the laptop is too new to get much info out of. Like wise though, just use a power strip. The power draw from the socket is no different then a high end desktop.
