will upgrading the ram on my laptop make it a little faster please

the acer aspire es1-531 c1g1 comes normally with 2GB of ram from factory, and can be upgraded to 8GB will it improve speed, it will help improve somewhat the way the system will "speed up" because it will have much more ram to work with but your cpu (Intel® Celeron® N3050 1.6 GHz; Dual-core) is your limiting factor and that cannot be upgraded in your laptop, another suggestion besides ram upgrade, would be to use an SSD instead of the 500GB HDD. this will in fact speed up your system even more after your 8GB upgrade.
