Windows 10 bootable USB not detected in BIOS (Samsung Laptop)

This is going to be a long and thorough post.

First of all, I have a Samsung NP530U3B-A02ID (laptop) purchased in around 2012. It came with 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium but I wanted to upgrade it to Windows 10 by completely wiping everything off of it.

I downloaded a 32-bit Windows 10 ISO and made a bootable USB drive using Rufus (I tried with NTFS and FAT32, but only as MBR). The first time I booted the laptop on that USB, I got stuck in "Copying Windows Files" at 0%, which I found out by leaving it for ~6 hours and coming back to an error message. Then, I tried doing the same thing but after modifying the partitions on the Windows setup window, but the results were exactly the same.

I read online that I should delete and recreate the partition, and I was planning on doing that, but then the laptop gets stuck at "Press any key to boot from USB". I tried pressing keys and repeating the process several times to no avail. After that, I didn't do anything else but now comes the current situation: the USB isn't even detected in the BIOS and hence can't booted on (even though i have my USB drive at the topmost priority).

I have tried turning off/on Legacy OS stuff, but the problem persists.

Here are pictures to get a better view (with captions containing more information):

Sorry for the extra long post, but I have scoured a lot of forums and still cannot find any working solutions, so this is the last resort. Any help is seriously immensely appreciated!

P.S. Yes, I did try to turn it off and on again.

EDIT: Solved by my friend!

Thank you for the reply!

1. "have you tried going to your BIOS and change the SATA mode to AHCI?"

Yes, I just did, and nothing changed.

2. "USB drive is damaged"

I can boot and see the setup screen on my other desktop and laptop, so i dont think it is damaged.

3. "did you make the windows usb uefi tool from the site below?"

The ISO file i used was from a link in reddit's /r/piracy megathread (which i quite trust and people have probably tried and tested it). This is because the official media creation tool couldn't download the ISO file (about 23% in 10 hours with my perfectly fine internet, before suddenly quitting without any error message)

Would you mind telling us how did you solve this situation? I have the same problem with a Samsung np350 laptop, thanks

Hi, i’m a bit spotty on the details but i used my friend’s bootable drive (so completely different thumb drive with win10 he downloaded himself) and tinkered with the BIOS settings (tried turning stuff on and off until it works 😀). Goodluck!
