Windows 7 troubleshooting getting on the internet

Idounloaded windows7 on my laptop,but cannot get the internet,I have a main pc,which i am the adminersrater, and another pc,which are all running off the same modem,I have re-done the setting up of my email several times thinking this may be the problem,I am desperate to find a solution

What's your laptop, and how are you trying to connect to the Internet with it? WiFi or wired?

i guess the first question is, did you install the nic drivers for your laptop?
