That download only includes the default Microsoft audio drivers, which in most cases are already installed on the system.

But the laptop should've come with drivers pre-installed. If your system is outputting audio, you have an audio driver of some kind already installed. If you're not sure, go into control panel, hardware and sound, then click on device manager. Once in device manager, expand the "sound, video, and game controllers" category, and tell me the name of the driver installed. The names might be slightly different on windows 8 though.
