beoza Distinguished Oct 23, 2009 44 0 18,580 Dec 5, 2013 #2 Just restart the computer. Windows 8 doesn't use the F8 key to get into safe mode anymore. It's a convoluted process to get there, and is usually done from within Windows 8.
