Windows detected a hard disk problem

Hi
I have emachines E727 model and i have a face (Windows detected a hard disk problem).So what is it.IT is hard disk problem or Ram .Please tell me how i resolved this problem?

You will need to find the manufacturer of the hard drive inside the emachines pc. From there you will need to run the diagnostics for that specific manufacturer.

Hello:
If you decide to replace the hard drive, you will have to re-install windows, all programs and applications you have.

I suggest you download hirens boot cd, run memtest to ensure your ram is functioning properly. Hirens boot cd also has hard drive manufacturers diagnostics utilities as well you can run.

No offense, I do not know how good you are with opening the computer or getting into the bios of the pc.

If you can possibly open the case up and see what hard drive is in the pc. Probably something like hatachi or samsung. It will really help you find the proper program to run the diagnostic software with.

Please also fully run memtest to ensure your ram isn't a problem.
