Windows explorer running through wrong program

Hello how do i fix my windows explorer from trying to go through my windows photo viewer? Every time i try to click on a file in my windows explorer it tries to send it through the photo viewer. I have no idea how this even happened. How can i fix this to where windows explorer goes through windows explorer in windows 7. I have a toshiba satellite laptop

It appears that your "photo viewer" application has become the default opening application for all file types/associations.

Take a look at the following link:

Google "Windows 7 File Associations defaults" - you will find other links addressing the mattter.

Reset and test some of the file types. If that works do the same for any remaining file types.

Difficult to determine how the defaults may have been changed. Some bug or glitch perhaps. Maybe some failed hijack attempt....

Once fixed, be extra careful and keep an eye on things.

Update and run your anti-virus and malware software as an additional precaution.
