Windows to Linux?!?

My daughter has a HP stream laptop which only has a 32gb hard driver, recently when she uses Roblox and Netflix (what she uses most) it is very slow and almost unusable. I believe this is due to it being a windows laptop and their updates have taken up all the memory. I'm thinking of switching to Linux, Would this help the laptop and would she be able to play Roblox and use Netflix?

1. There is no native port for Roblox on Linux.

2. The HP Stream is simply a low powered system. Linux on it won't make any real difference.
