Windows XP defragmenter runs extremely slow ?

Windows XP defragmenter runs extremely slow on my laptop and always has! It takes HOURS to complete! What's up with this?

Yeah, that's normal. It should take several hours (or even a day, depending on how much data you have)

Do you know what disk defragmentation is? If so, you should understand why it takes so long.
