Is anyone using this satellite card for DVB - FTA reception in the US ?
Can it receive and decode 4.2.0 , 4.2.2 , HDTV ? Will it do Blind Search?
It's made by Hauppauge in the UK.
The lowest price I've seen is approx. $168 US from LA, PageComputers.Com.

Thanks!

I do. It doesn't do blind search. I've had no luck with 4:2:2 or HDTV
with it. My $10 broadlogic card does it good. Go figure.
The primary use for that card in the US is to get Dish and BEV through
the use of pirate software. I'm told it works very well.
I would suggest a blind scan receiver like the Pansat2500a if this is
your first DVB product, unless you are wanting to record to your hard
drive.

Thanks, Kryppy, I'll look into the Pansat 2500 then.
Still, I wanted to use my computer as a video recorder.
I'll check Ebay for one of those $10 cards as well.
