I have hd resever can i connet that with my computer without HDMI cable(my computer is dell core 2).

Depends on what connections your computer has and what connections your receiver has and for what you are trying to use the thing for. Video or just audio?

Then you would want to get an HDMI receiver and video card, but again, this depends on what connections your receiver and computer have already. There may be receivers for home use that can have VGA connections, but I have not seen any myself.

Then get one, they are all over the place and cheap. Not sure why you would be looking to connect the systems another way if both have HDMI.

Otherwise just use whatever other connections you can, VGA and audio out for example directly to the TV/Monitor.
