Would these refurbished laptops be any good?

Hi, i'm looking at getting a laptop for my 10 year old. She plays Roblox, minecraft and the SIMS and watches a lot of youtube.
I'm looking at either of these:

Or would i be better getting something new like a HP 250 G5?

Well, an HP 250 G5, at least with a full HD display and SSD is way more expensive.

It is a chance, tho i would like to think if it was coming directly from the manufacturer that'd it would be in good order. Aesthetically it may not be as good, but otherwise should be OK..... shouldn't it?!

For sure technically in good order, but this might be an alternative for a 10 year old. For some reason I always think kids have more fun with a tablet, and if he does homework with it, buy him keyboard.

I would get the Dell it has better specs; a 1080p screen and 256GB SSD. The Intel HD 620 should be find to play the Sims 4 at 1080p, but the resolution can always be dropped down to 1600x900 or 1366x768 for better performance. The Sims 4 is the most demanding of the 3 games. The HP only has 1366x768 resolution screen.

The 256GB SSD (solid state drive) has lower capacity than the HP's 1TB HDD (hard drive), but it has much higher read and write speeds which makes the laptop feel more responsive. For example, a laptop with a HDD generally takes around 45 - 60 seconds to boot up, a laptop with a SSD will generally take about 20 seconds or less.


Laptops purchased from Dell's Outlet site will have the same warranty as a new laptop.
