Im looking for mid range graphics with games such as morrowind, oblivion and skyrim.

Will I see a huge performance over the hd intel 3000\4000 integrated graphics?

Is 1388 * 768 a really crappy resolution?

overall with the specs and price how good of a computer is it?

Would really be gratefull for your input on this thx.

it's decent, but not amazing. skyrim will run at 29 fps at 1366x768 resolution. i'd say it's below average for the price, you can a much better one, try this: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto.do#anchor-top

get an a8-4500 with 1gb 7670m graphics, will be $600 with that config. i'd recommend spending the extra $20 for the backlit keyboard too as it's a very nice cosmetic change. if you can spend more, go for the a10 and 2gb 7670m and maybe a 1080p screen. when it comes to graphics 1gb is good for a 768p screen and 2 gb is quite necessary for a 1080p screen.

maybe in cpu (if the hp is configured with an a6) and graphics, but the hp is lighter, thinner, and has longer battery life (up to 8 hours 45 mins), not to mention hp has better customer service (they've really improved over the past 4 years) and better quality overall. acer is nice, but it's better to spend the money on an hp imo.

i5 ivy beats any mobile apu. HP quality is fairly low (so is acer). Highly doubt that computer lasts anywhere near 8 hours.

it seems that the i5 does beat even the a10-4600m, but it is more of a budget cpu anyway, would like to see what amd can do when money isn't a factor. i can assure you hp has much better quality than you think, compared to toshiba, an hp computer will last 2-8x as longer, my 1st laptop (toshiba l305) lasted 2 years and is literally falling apart. hp has pretty good quality, but acer only has decent quality, hence the lower prices of their products. the site doesn't give specifics about the battery, but i'm sure it can last up to 8 hours and 30 mins as stated with the lowest settings, i've achieved 5 hours on balanced with this laptop (toshiba p745) and the battery is low quality. even if it can't get 8 hours i'm sure 7 hours is achievable.
