Solved! Write protected laptop

Iv brought a second hand Toshiba laptop and found it has write protection on it...could anyone help me please to remove it.

Are you sure it's 'write protected' and not 'password protected'? It makes a big difference.

You have better go ahead and list the model of your Toshiba too.

get into your bios settings and see if the HDD write protect is on, if it is then disable it
