i i recently bough an ASUS N56VB-S4081H laptop and it's supposed to have 8 gb DDR3 at 1600 MHz. but when i use speccy to display hardware it recognises the RAM at 800 MHz. what is the problem?

hahahaha i have yet to see a 1600 Mhz Ram 😛 its running on a dual channel so the memory is 800Mhz but its using 2 banks to make it 1600 thats how it works use CPUz you will understand it a little better.

Its not the dual channel Even single channel DDR3 will show the same thing.

It is sending data on the leading and trailing edge of the clock cycle while SDR did only on the leading(or was it trailing).
