x7200 shuts off

Sounds like it either could be overheating or the battery is dying. Try monitoring the temperatures as well as the battery charge. That will give you a better idea of the cause.

Wow, that is high temp. Like really high. And changing the fans to max (if possible on that laptop as it isn't on all) wouldn't fix the problem. It would likely cause more problems.

You need to have it looked at to determine the cause of the overheating and have it fixed before major damage is done.

179°F is only 81°C which is Well above the max for socket 1366 cpus. You likely need to repaste the cpu and make sure the heatsink and fan are clean.

my x7200 shuts completely off after 30 minutes to an hour what is going on

If you are talking about the Clevo X7200 that looks to be about a 9 year old system. Outside of temp or battery issues, could be a motherboard or video card issue. It's well in the age where components would fail.

its a heat issue i think i got temps way low now with fn key and 1 now sits in 123f -127f on four diferent cores and dropping just hit 122f 1 fan is not spining very fast and is a cpu fan
