I'm looking forward to apples usual overhyped press release for this phone, it looks more or less the same as the old iphone just with a front facing camera (which has been standard on any half decent phone for years now) i thought that slot on the side might of been for a micro sd card but i guess that would be expecting too much, and still no flash or user replaceable battery but at least they have a user replaceable sim card.

Look at the nokia N8, 720p hdmi tv out with 5.1 dolby digital plus, 12mp camera with xenon flash, 720p video recording, full web browser with flash support, free lifetime voice guided gps navigation, 16gb internal memory with up to a 32gb micro sd card, bluetooth 3.0, fm transmitter, it also has a front facing camera and a user replaceable battery and sim card.

The iphone 4G, a front facing camera and a new processor, oh and it's thinner.

But i wonder which phone will get the most hype?

It makes the 3GS look so much fatter and it actually is. I think that the "4G" looks more like the 1st Gen iPod Nano but larger with touchscreen. How the hell was another iPhone found again?

This phone is a joke... these things break/crack and get damaged so easily. Here in the Ivory-Tower land, just about every student has one of these toys and most of them are in deplorable shape. I still don't understand wtf they use such cheap glass for the screen. I see more iPhones with cracked screens, usually stemming from a hair-line fracture at the corners (the usual impact spot after a drop). They need to put some kind of grip abrasive on them, sleek = slick = slipped = SOL!

They did track the 1st (Gizmodo) phone perp, and immediately sent 2 agents to dude's dorm lol. No search warrant, nothing; just give us the phone. Sorry you lose something it's thus NOT in your possession and not "yours." The burden of proof is on YOU to prove you it's yours. There's no law that says you own something forever simply b/c you owned it previously. Unless it can be proven stolen out of malicious action, nobody can claim other wise.

Screw apple's control grid over this phone and screw Jobs the fanatic facist-authoritarian. I'd rather have a "crappy" non-iPhone than deal with the Chinese slave-labor made device.

Well, lets see how a fudged up release without the manicured hype will go for Apple. The phone honestly doesn't look as good as I would hope. They just made it longer, thinner, squarer, and made the sides aluminum.

I was hoping for an ALUMINUM phone with a little black and glass... like the rest of the product line. A little iMac in my pocket. meh.
