Question Yoga 6 16Gb RAM vs Flex 5 8Gb RAM

Hi all,
I need your help to figure out which one of these 2 laptops I should go for...

These are the laptops:

• LENOVO YOGA 6 (950 euros)
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Ryzen 4700u CPU
  • 13.3' display
    
    
• LENOVO IDEAPAD FLEX 5 (750 euros)
  • 8 GB RM
  • Ryzen 5700u CPU
  • 14' display

These are the only comparable 2 in 1 laptops in my region, which look pretty similar and are on budget.

I am a Physics major student, so I mainly need it for notetaking with the pen, and for simulation/programming needs (and some Machine Learning stuff, although I have no idea of what kind of specs that will require, hence the question). So it implies some multi-tasking, but not too much either.

QUESTION: for my uses, which one would be optimal? Especially in the RAM department, I can't figure out whether it is worth it to spend 200 euros more for 8 GB Ram especially when it comes with a downgrade on the CPU (browsing, I found that the 5700u performs pretty nicely compared to all the other cpus that you can find on a medium range 2in1 laptop).


What are your thoughts on this?

Both are 512 Gb, which should be sufficiente for my needs in any case.

I am also looking at the Yoga 7i. Costs a fair bit more but it has 16Gbs with i7-1165G7 and supposedly better build quality for for longer lasting. I don't know if it might be even worthier.
