NEWS FLASH: You are walking around with an internet connected transmitter and receiver in your pocket. If you don't assume you are being tracked then you are somewhat naive. Oh, and Facebook is tracking you too.

Download and install "Fake GPS". Disable it when you actually want to be located. But, if you lose your phone while your phone is broadcasting a fake GPS, you're screwed.

"change the "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" setting to "Never.""

And that is supposed to do what exactly? As if you never switch on your screen to check your messages, play a game or whatever.
One may not broadcast nearly as much of that information but it still is.
