ok does anyone happen to know why youtube keeps stopping on tablets? i tossed out an xcody tablet because about every month i had to go into the tablet and hit buttons until i got to youtube and either turn it on or turn it off. that table was 4.4 now i got another brand tablet that has 4.4.2 on it and now this one is doing it also. so why is this happening. it has to be you tube and not the tablet as i just do not believe 2 tablets from 2 different makers and operating system versions would be the issue. it has to be you tube. is ther any way to just get youtube off the tablets as i never use it on them. all these tables do is watch my cameras all day long 24/7 365. the only app on them is tiny cam. so if i can just remove youtube so they will just work and not make me go in and 1 button at a time reset the youtube app to either on or off would be great. thanks

Settings on your browser wouldn't effect how it shows to others on the site. :) That only happens if you make the text larger within the post itself.

The settings are different in every browser, but you might want to check on setting yours to show text for this site (or any site that is to small for you) to a larger size. This way you can see it how you wish without altering it for others. :)

I see. And are the apps on both devices the same? No additional ones, others used, etc.? Another option would be to consider doing a "Hard Reset" of the problem tablet, which would wipe it and then restore it to its original software (prior to any use). Then you can start fresh and see if the problem continues. If it does, then it is likely not...
Note... there is no reason to make the text larger. It won't get anyone to notice the thread more and for some (me included) it makes reading it problematic when the text is made larger than it needs to be.

The problem may well be the older versions of Android that you are using. The most recent version of Android is up to 9.0, with 10.0 in the works. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history

Additionally, if you have the tablet running all the time and is active (with camera/video) that will use up the resources of the device. Just like with a computer, the more resources you use, the less there is for anything else. So not restarting the device regularly will lead to issues. Likely you can resolve it by restarting (powering off and back on) the tablet on a regular basis.

i made it lager so i can see it the text is so damn small i can't see it and it doesn't look so large to me when i view it from replying now so i do not get it when you say it is so large. i can just about see this text as i type it and i have my browser set to 120% just to see it

now to answer your help. i don't have this issue with another table running the same o/s version that tablet runs 4.4.2 also and i do not get that notice with this tablet. so i don't think it is a o/s issue. and they both rung the same amount of time 24/7 365. they go off when we have a power outage as we just had a few days ago but the xcody went into youtube stopped like every month or sooner and this other tablet about every other month or so. they both look like they have the same resources. so maybe i need to do some switch on it to get it to not look at youtube. thanks

However, before trying that, I have to ask, have you checked the internet/WiFi connection to see if it has any 'drops'? Some devices will run fine, ignoring any drops or slowness in access, as long as it is a short one. Where as others will go as far as to not work at all until restarted. To test that you might want to try using the problem device on a different WiFi and see if it occurs there (just to test).

NOTE: Doing this will clear 'all' the data on your tablet, so it is suggested you not choose this option unless you have to, or aren't worried about losing anything on the device.

Be sure you back up any data you want to keep, to a computer or cloud account, before doing the reset.

To "Hard Reset" the tablet...

1. Make sure that the tablet is actually powered off.

2. Remove your SD card, if there is one in the device.

3. Press the "Power" and the "Volume Up" buttons, together, until you see the start-up logo on the screen.

4. Once you can see the logo, release the buttons and allow the device to enter the "System Recovery Mode".

5. Next use "Volume Down" button to get to the "wipe data/factory reset" option.

6. When in recovery mode the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons are how to can navigate and highlight what option you need.

7. Once you have selected the "wipe data/factory reset", press the "Power" button to select that option.

8. On the following screen, repeatedly press the "Volume Down" button until the "Yes - delete all user data" option is what is selected.

9. Then press the "Power" button to hard reset the tablet.

10. If you took your SD card out in step 2, when the device is up and running again, reinsert the SD card.

most sites the text is good only a few are small text and then i make it bigger as i tye it so i can see what i'm typing.

both tablets are the same for what is on them. i reset them and what ever google puts back on them is there. then i added tiny cam pro on them. that was the only added app on them because i thought that the added apps might be causing it. i did see one post that said to go into play store app and change some setting in there so that is what i will do when it happens again, as that post said it needs to be down when the fault show up.

what happens is the faul shows up and you have to tap that fault then do something else then the fault again et until you get to youtube and can ether enable or disable it youhave to change it's state to get that fault gone. thanks

I see. Well I know of no way to 'remove' that app if there is no uninstall. Sadly many manufacturers preinstall stuff one may never ever use and don't let you remove it.

It should, however, allow you to uninstall any updates to that app and then 'disable' the app. This should prevent it from running at all.
