How to Access Windows Remotely From an Android Phone

With the help of the TeamViewer app, it is possible to remotely access your files stored on a Windows computer via your Android phone. Behind the scenes, an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connection is established between your Android phone and the PC.

Although there are plenty of apps available in the Google Play Store that allow you to remotely connect Android devices to Windows computers, the best one among those is Team viewer. Since the TeamViewer app is comparatively securer and user-friendly, you get the ultimate user experience while accessing your files remotely.

In order to access the data on the remote PC, you must request your administrator to install and configure the PC version of the TeamViewer app on the computer, and provide you with the TeamViewer ID and the passcode that is displayed.

On the phone’s end, download and install the TeamViewer Remote Control app on your Android cell phone in order to access the target remote computer.

Note: Internet connection on both the devices, i.e. the computer and Android mobile must be enabled before you attempt to establish a remote connection between the two.

Here’s how you can download, install, and configure the Team Viewer app on your Android phone:

    ■Power on the Android phone.
■After unlocking, tap the Menu button to launch the apps list.

■Locate and tap the Play store icon in order to open the Play Store app.

■Type TeamViewer for Remote Control in the available Search box at the top right corner of the interface.

■On the opened page, tap the TeamViewer for Remote Control app icon.

■On the next page that comes up, tap the Install button to download and install the TeamViewer app on the Android phone.

■Once the app is installed, tap Open to launch TeamViewer.

■If you are new to TeamViewer, read the instructions carefully.

■Once you fully understand how TeamViewer works, in the TeamViewer ID field, enter the correct TeamViewer ID that you will find on the computer’s TeamViewer app interface.

10. Tap the Remote Control button.

11. When prompted for the password, in the Password field, enter the correct password that you will find on the computer’s Team Viewer app interface as well.

12. Once done, tap OK.
13. Finally tap Continue to access the computer successfully from the Android phone.

Note: You should never share your TeamViewer ID and Passcode with anyone to avoid any intrusion and/or data theft.
