How To Perform A Factory Reset On The Oculus Rift

With every device you buy from the field of VR you should be prepare to have some kind of problem (this does not have to be the case). We are not still aware of an option how to make a factory reset but you will be presented with the reset opportunities that will easily solve your type of problem. These guide will show you the ways to reset some functions on your Oculus Rift. Follow this steps:

Reset your default view

Step1. Open Oculus app > select the gear icon

Step 2. Select Settings

  ■ On the left select Devices

Step 3. Select configure Rift

• 
  ■ Select reset default view in view

Step 4. Adjust the view in a way that will be most comfortable for you.

Reset the forward location so you can reorient

Step 1. Press the back button on your headset.

• 
  ■ Wait for the Universal Menu to appear

Step 2.Adjust the pointer on the Reorient icon

• 
  ■ To activate it tap on the touchpad
  ■ If you want to exit and go back to the Universal Menu than just select the back button.

Reset Oculus Pin

Step 1. Oculus home > select dropdown menu

• 
  ■ Go to Settings

Step 2. Select Account section (on the left side)

• 
  ■ Select Oculus Pin

Step 3. Type new for 4 digit pin

• 
  ■ Enter your current pass so you can confirm the change.
  ■ Click ok to reset it.
  ■ Select > Submit
