Walkthrough:
You are about to face another dragon in this quest. And it is a fact that the dragons are stronger than the ordinary monsters so you will have to be prepared to put up a fight. The objective of the quest is to track and hunt a monster named Kushala Daora.
If you successfully complete the quest you will be rewarded with a huge amount of 18000z which is more than sufficient. You will be given a window of 50 minutes to complete the quest and if you don’t complete it in that time, you will fail the quest. Also, you will fail the quest if you faint three times during it. Lastly, you will have to have the hunter rank of 14 or higher to start the quest which you should have by now. So with all of the basics of the quest out of the way, let’s start it:
- You will get this quest in a hurry so the amount of preparation can do ahead of time is little. Just make sure to bring weapons that can hit enemies who fly often. Also, bring Flash Pods with you as there will be a few times where Flash Pods will be more useful.
- Kushala Daora is the master of the wind and its primary attacks will involve wind attacks which it would use for its defense as well. It does quick blasts of wind while it is on the ground and in air as well which do a respectable amount of damage. But there is an attack where the Kushala Daora rears back and inhales and that that attack is very powerful so you should avoid that at all costs.
- Your fight is likely to start in the AREA 3 but the monster will move between the AREA 2, AREA 9 and AREA 8 and at the latter area, you will have to opportunity to destroy the looming crystal pillars above to land them on your enemy and do significant damage along with stunning it. When it is seriously injured, it will fly back to its nest that is in the AREA 4. So you can plant some barrel bombs near it when it is sleeping to do a lot of damage.
- The Kushala Daora is weak against thunder and is susceptible to the blast and poison ailment so make sure to use them against it. Also, the head, tail and front legs of the Kushala Daora are most receptive to the damage. The wings and head of the monster are both breakable and its tail is severable.
So fight it while keeping these things in mind and you will be able to kill it quickly. Once you slay the Kushala Daora, the quest will end up giving you 18000z.
