I thought speakers consisted of a basic positive and negative terminal for speaker wires. However, when i opened up my in ceiling speaker, this is the result.
There is a black and red terminals, but it leads to this box that spits out extra orange+white, and blue+white cables.

I tried connecting my subwoofer using my 3.5mm jack to rca red white and yellow cable to my PC's motherboard. Supposedly the yellow jack on the back is for the center AND subwoofer channel, but i get no sound through my subwoofer when i connect it through there.

I have one of those typical round ceiling speakers. It has two thick cables going out from it. Removing the coating from it, each of them have 8 smaller copper wires with their own coating.

I noticed it has line in inputs and speaker level ins and outs and that this is a self powered subwoofer. I'm looking to connect this to my PC along with my pair of non self powered speakers.
Am i able to connect the front channel output on my PC's motherboard to the RCA jacks on this...
