It's getting power for sure. However, beyond that, it's a little hard to tell what's going on. It could be the screen or it's connection, or the laptop just refuses to boot. I would see if you could take it to a repair center so they can check it out for you. Some testing will have to be done...

They have special LCD cleaners out there, but I tend to just use water. Don't apply the water directly to the screen, though. Wet a cleaning cloth and be gentle. I like using those cloths that they use to clean the cell phone screens.

I think your model can only charge the battery using a battery charger. Not quite sure if it'll allow the battery to charge while connected to the body like that, let alone through the USB port. I would contact Sony just to make sure.

It really depends what you plan on using it for. I have a 7 inch and I am perfectly fine with it. However, I rarely do any work-related things with it. I would imagine it not being very fun opening up spreadsheets and typing word documents on a 7 inch screen. The extra real estate would be nice...

Get a small laptop or a tablet. The main issue is that you can't run programs like Outlook and such from a portable drive. Get a Windows-based tablet with a keyboard if all you're looking to use are Microsoft applications.

There is no need to uninstall anything. The ATK package is just a driver package for your hot keys. You can just download and install.

What does it say in the Device Manager? If there is, indeed, the wrong graphics card in there, I would contact the reseller immediately. They could have sent you a wrong configuration. That is more likely than the wrong card being installed in the laptop.

Wiggle the plug around near the port. Does it seem loose, and does it affect the charging? There could be something wrong with the port.
