ASUS Computer Charger Connect/Disconnect

Hello, i have an Asus Laptop. and my charger repeatedly says charge connected/disconnected every few seconds, also, the icon says 'charger plugged in, not charging'
while the laptop is turned off it seems to charge fine. is it a problem with my charger or my laptop?how to fix it?

Wiggle the plug around near the port. Does it seem loose, and does it affect the charging? There could be something wrong with the port.
