I can pick up this laptop Dell Inspiron 7000 15.6" Gaming Laptop (Intel Core i5-7300HQ, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, GTX 1050 4GB) for £699 and am wondering is it a good laptop for mid graphic gaming and some basic college work.

I am looking for a laptop for gaming and college projects and am not 100% what to be looking out for. I wouldn't like to go over 1500euro. I was looking at the Asus GL502VM which has an i7 and a GTX1060 GPU for 1500 on Amazon but is there a similar brand that would be cheaper? Or should I look...
