    If you are having to use a crack it's quite possible the version you are using is full of malware slowing down your system Who the manufacturer for your laptop ? As they likely included a hidden recovery partition with Windows files on so you can restore it to factory settings

    Do your have access to another computer fried family member? And a usb memory stick probably around the 8Gb range as you can reinstall windows this way

    I'm not sure why you think the bios would be corrupted by installing Windows 7 Theres no possible way this effect your bios I'd be looking more towards the hardware failure route first
