Vr as seem to come to life lately. Will VR eventually make monitors obsolete? Will they both coexist or will VR be the only way to game in the future? tbh I don't really like the idea of vr that much and I much rather stick with my monitor.

I don't know your gpu model, but something with .5 gigs of vram probs won't run it. I would buy a new gpu (you don't need something amazin, at least a gtx 750 or 950). 4 gigs of ram will run it with nothing open in the backeound, but I would highly recommend getting 8.

it I think might be when its unplugged it uses integrated graphics instead of your dedicated gpu...

I would go for a desktop, extremely customizable and upgradable...

remember never get one with integrated graphics get one with a dedicated gpu.
