I have this laptop that either in safe mode or regular Windows, the screen flashes then goes back to the desktop. It happens about once every 2-3 seconds, I cannot open any programs as when it flashes it closes them all. I got into Recovery Console and did a dism, that did not seem to help.

Its not the exact fan, but is the same size/shape, 4pin same as the old, same voltage. Only place that had the fan were shady looking websites.

My laptop's fan died completely so I ordered a new one, plugged it all in and it is extremely loud and the fan is spinning extremely fast. I reapplied thermal paste, compressed air cleaned the fan and the entire laptop. Wondering at this point if I should just RMA the fan.

I have an Windows 8 .iso I made from her DVD, its just not letting me boot from it even I've used the Windows 8 Bootable Usb thing.

So my sister in law got a new harddrive for her laptop and I switched it out and put in the Windows 8 cd to install that. I switch the bios boot order to the optical drive first. It can't read it. Giving up on that, I follow this guide...
